My eyes didn't see the part where you are using the share option. Never mind, just reread your post and you are doing just that. However, I have noticed a dramatic speed decrease but it could have been due to the wifi chip in my laptop. Then just follow the instructions and now you should be able to connect any device. All you have to do is select the wifi share option on your windows 10 pdanet program after you have usb tethered your phone. You can turn your windows 10 computer into a wifi hotspot once you have successfully usb tethered your phone to your computer. However, I can use it with other android devices running pdanet using the connect to pdanet hotspot. I have the paid version of pdanet and I cannot get wifi direct to work with any wireless devices. Says trouble communicating with the servers. Ill use it for the content but can only play on free wifi from the library near my building. Ive been able to download content but i can't get on the servers. I haven't gotten it to work with a game to play online. My phone is a pixel 3a, carrier is straighttalk, and I'm sharing to my PS4. Although I use a battery saving program, the settings are set to NOT disconnect the internet. However, it seems that on either one, after about 30 mins or so (upwards of 1 hours at times), the connection will disconnect. Anyone else ever experience something like this? Any advice? Ok, got tethering both through the Beta wifi tethering and through PDANet USB tethering. I don't get a message saying Wifi connection lost, I just lose connection to their servers for a few seconds which is enough to kick me out of what I'm doing. Ive tried all the 7 ways to share ethernet. And now I have an Android device not working in this range. But it creates network using 5GHz band (channel 36). As soon as I hit ok, it takes me to the homescreen and I'm connected again. For purpose of sharing internet connection to WiFi devices Ive used either command line or very easy to setup and use program Virtual Route Manager v1.0. Then a few minutes later, I lose connection to their online service. I connect to the hotspot made, load into the game and launch some online content. The two games I have tried this on is NBA 2K19 and Madden 19. However, I try to do WiFi share (via PC app) and it works but only for a bit. I have no problems using it as a USB tether to my PC, but I can't do the wifi hotspot as straighttalk doesn't allow it. My phone does have wifi and will connect to the Linksys router, BUT if I connect it while my phone is tethered via Pdanet, then it drops the Pdanet internet connection.I have a cracked apk of the app that has the full version unlocked. I use a laptop and have no desire for it to be wired to something anyway - I do move around the house with it. Is that possible? I have read some things that talk about hard wiring the PC to the router but don't want to do that if I it's not necessary as it would mean relocating my router which is in another room, and I really have no where to put it. So my next thought was to connect my PC to Linksys and somehow route my Pdanet connection back through the router. Perhaps Pdanet will not allow it? I don't know. Thought about creating a network bridge between the Pdanet modem and Linksys, but when I click on the 2 connections the option for network bridge does not even appear. What I am wanting to do is connect to my Linksys router and somehow allow my Pdanet internet connection to be shared with other PCs via the router. I have also tried rooting the phone and using Wireless Tether but found that my phone lacks the necessary networking to make Wireless Tether work - so that's not an option either! Pdanet works fine and is actually quite fast. The phone is Android OS 2.1, so making it a wifi hot spot is not an option. I have my Android phone tethered to a PC with Windows 7 64 bit OS via Pdanet. I have tried ICS and have found it does not work and the Pdanet support FAQ confirmed my suspicion that ICS could not be used to share the Pdanet internet connection. I am trying to find out if there is any way for me to share my Pdanet internet connection via the wireless router. I am finding that my internet connection via Pdanet (tethering my Android phone) on my PC is faster than the satelllite connection via my wireless router.
